Jesus began the project in Senior English for the New World Project but caught the writing fever and extended the short story into a novel. The process took three months and on February 8, 2011, Salcido punched the enter button to okay the upload of his book to Kindle. The eBook sells on the Amazon site for $3.50.

---- I wasn't sure he could live up to the hype. High school student? Novel? Action and drama? Yes, he does all of the above. It's a quick read, due in part to the length (more novela than novel) and the pacing (what kind of teenager knows how to pace a book so quickly and without the morass of teen angst.) There are no teens in this book. Just a taut, mysterious story that surprises. Salty language, movie-like scenes and psychological exploration --- the book is a solid good read. Thanks Jesus. Fun stuff. Hope to see more of your work in the future
